Lisianthus grandiflorum

Description

Lisianthus originated as Eustoma russellianum that grows under desert and prairie conditions in North America and Mexico. The first cultivated form of Eustoma russellianum was developed around 1930. Today, it is primarily the double-flowered Lisianthus varieties that are being cultivated worldwide. Many splendid cultivars for cut flower production are available already but improved ones with new colours, larger flowers and new flower shapes – such as the fringed varieties for example – are being developed every year for the key Lisianthus market. The largest markets for these elegant cut flowers are Germany, Russia, France, Italy and the United Kingdom. Each market has its own preferred type, flower size or colour. Florensis Cut Flowers offers Lisianthus young plants year-round and, under the right conditions, it can also be cultivated year-round. It takes 8 to sometimes 24 weeks for the young plants to produce flowers. We have such a large range of products that we can provide every market with just the right Lisianthus variety. Delivery: year-round
